today my teacher was an difrrent teacher and she was called miss komor cause my other teacher was at a sport event she asked us to write a story about a picture this is what i wrote. tell me what you think in the comment below

The wind rushed through her hair as she descended the wdun tan at great speed.For most children this would be an exhilarating even terrifying experience but for lucy it was just an ordinary journey to school.

Here is our edited story.

Things we learnt about were

• We aren’t allowed to use then, and, also and because at the beginning of a sentence.
• Speech marks go on the OUTSIDE of the full stop or other punctuation.
• The end of a sentence can be marked by a full stop, an exclamation mark or a question mark. You don’t need to put an extra full stop after a question mark.
• Remember to check ALL capital letters. Sometimes we need to put them in and sometimes we need to take them out.

On Monday 24th September 2018 Room 7 did a blindfold challenge. We wanted to have fun and make our morning a bit interesting by playing a game.

Firstly Miss Ashley told us the rules which was “no touching the tables or pieces of paper on the floor or you will lose points.“  However you are allowed to touch the chairs because you sometimes have to step over them to get to the end. Next we got into buddies. My buddy was Lucina.  We had to line up by the heater in our buddies.

First it was my turn to go so Lucina (my buddy)  put the blindfold on me (over my eyes) and helped me to stand up. The blindfold was tight it felt like a constrictor boa on my face. I felt so confused and disorientated because the blindfold was covering my eyes. Lucina told me to “go left, right, straight and step over.” I was feeling nervous and a little bit scared because “what if she was tricking me?“ and I was really doing something silly. I got to the end safely and took my blindfold off.

Next it was my buddies turn so I helped her put the blindfold on. I told her to walk straight first, then next turn left. She doesn’t know her lefts and rights so she went the wrong way.I said “no your other left” and it was a little bit funny. In the end we got to the blue fruit tray and we made it without losing any points!

I think I would like to do this activity again because it was cool to do something different and fun in class especially since it’s the end of the term and I think we are all feeling kind of tired.

Macarthur Goggles on a saliva and a person behind me what was myself it was a bit scary when you jump then you could hear the lava spilling everywhere.

When I looked down there was lots of lava I was inside a volcano it was really scary.

On Wednesday the 5th of September we did Tongan gamesAnd this is at Tamaki Primary School I was in the tug of war and I lost but in the next round I won and then I went to the next game which is called the sack race and I came second and then I didn't play anymore games and I just went on the Park.

I told Paula to push the metal pole into the hole and he did it and then I did the next one and then we put up the tent. 

We were almost done and then we put that cover over and we pigs on it and then put the blue pollen and then we finished that one.

When you finish putting up the tent we then the tent with only box and Mr rusty right about what we did and how we put it up.

I did most of the tent because everyone else was playing inside the tent and me Paula and Isaiah were doing the tent as I help me put the poles in and Paula we put over the second half of the tent.

I like putting up the tent because it's a really good thing cuz you are learning how to put up a tent and other people are showing you how to put up a tent.

I break into because it's fun and it's really good cuz other people can learn how to make a tent.
I did the most stuff on the team because everyone else was playing in the tent and me and Isaia we're doing the most work.

Flood challenge

1. Sponge - Sponge can suck up water but not too much. it won't suck up anymore.
2. Cotton wool -  can suck up a little bit of water.

3. Sand bags - At your house you have a little gap under your door and if you get little stand bags and put it underneath the door by the cracks the water won't go in that much it will block it off a little bit.

4. Sand - Sand is good because you can use it to block up every single gap in your house but you have to make sure it's wet if it's not wet then it wouldn't work.

5. Popsicle stick - bad because the water will go over the fence and through the gaps and under the fence.

6. Straw - Straw is bad because it can do nothing.

Tsunamis are really bad because they can Crush your city if it's far away you would have enough time to run because the wave will make you shrink if u do not get to somewhere high like a mountain so you would not get into the water.

Tsunami very scary for kids because it could be really big and then they would get crushed and they will die and they might survive cause they got bigger legs in little kids.

The storm

Last night there was a massive as storm. My power went off. There was lightning. I got scared. In the morning I woke up and when I went to school I saw this massive as tree branch broke off. When i went to school it was messy full of branches broken. Me and Tasi were playing on the tree and we played pretend Fornite and then we went to Sommerville School and we weren’t supposed to. At morning tea time we got a little bit of play and then the bell rung twice so we came inside to play on our netbooks and then the bell rung which we didn’t hear and then Miss came in and gave us 5 seconds to get down onto the mat. Last night it was raining hard. You could hear the thunder and you could hear the sun crashing into the clouds which makes lightning. And my friends thought that the sky tower fell, which it didn’t, they were tricking me. Some people thought it was real. When it was raining last night I was playing on Fortnite on Larrys PS4. When I was playing it I kept getting killed. But when I played it again I went to this place where no one else went and I got a sniper and armour and a shotgun. When we get on Fortnite we have to press triangle to play. And then when it loads we jump out of a bus that flies and then we jump out of it and then we can have a parachute to land and there’s chests everywhere full of weapons and after I played Fornite I made me and Larry a milo and toast. When I had a turn after my milo and then lightning came. And then when the lightning came down I hopped off the game and watched TV for a little bit and went to bed at 11 clock.

On Saturday the 16th of March 1852, there was a farmer and her brown and white cow. The farmer’s name was called peaches.

First the farmer peaches got her cow and tried to get the cow to move “ come on bessie.” She said as she was struggling to pull bessie. Peaches grabbed her coins and she went to william johnsen the toll keeper. She gave Milliam Jo hnson 1 coin for her and 1 for her cow.

“Evening Johnson” she said as she was waiting to cross the bridge.

William johnson took the money and said “thank you very much,enjoy your day.” William Johnson used his strength to turn the winch so that the farmer could go through the bridge and go to the market. The farmer and the cow got to the market and the farmer got the bucket and milked the cow to sell the milk to the villagers.

The farmer looked and looked to see if anyone was coming to get some milk. But then she saw one person in line to see if it tasted nice. So she gave the nice lady some milk and she said “ WOOPHE!!!, that's the best milk i've ever tasted.” So she bought some milk and took it to her kids and they shared the milk together. After she left she told everyone about the milk and there was a whole line of people waiting to get some milk. Then he got to the last person and there was no one else in the line. So she packed up all her stuff and took her cow home. Then they got home and they Jumped straight on to their beds and went to sleep.
